Last summer our family had to go to Hamilton Place Mall for some reason. I noticed the movie marquee said something about free family films, so when I went home I looked it up. Then for the rest of the summer, Fuller and Damon had something fun to do on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. And Fuller got to go see his first movie in a movie theater.
Regal Cinemas at Hamilton Place Mall participates in the Family Film Festival every summer. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays there are two free movies for kids and parents to see in the late morning.

Every week I get an email on downtown happenings from the Chattanooga Downtown Partnership. This week my eye fell on two theater happenings coming up:
The Chattanooga Theatre Centre presents Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day from March 9th through March 18th. They will present Urinetown from March 9th through April 1st. Visit www.theatrecentre.com or call 267-8534 for ticket information and times of shows.
Tickets range from $12 to $20, but I don’t think you can have a bad seat at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre. If you are ever interested in being on the stage instead of sitting in the audience, they have classes in the summer and auditions are coming up soon for Intimate Apparel and Hansel and Gretel.
I think I will stick to buying tickets to sit in the audience, I’m not really that much for acting.
