Everybody must eat: Dinner at Macaroni Grill

My mom leaves tomorrow so we took her out to dinner this evening as a small thank you. She didn’t really care where we ate and I had a need for pasta.

Since we were running errands out at Lee Highway, I figured dinner at Macaroni Grill wouldn’t be too far out of the way.

We got there about 6:15 and our group (three adults, one toddler) was seated immediately. A booster seat was provided for Fuller and our server, Michael, showed up quickly to take drink and appetizer orders. He swiftly poured the olive oil and produced warm bread from somewhere and left to get the drinks.

Fuller was amused with crayons and soon our drinks arrived, our server took our orders, and our salads arrived soon after. We never had any down time between courses, which was good with a toddler as a customer.

For our appetizer we had bruschetta. It was ok, though I thought the tomato mixture could have more basil and the cheese could have been melted a bit more. Or somewhat. The cheese wasn’t melted at all. I think it should have been.
I had the recently advertised Trio Milano- $11.99 for a caesar salad, pasta milano, and chocolate cake. The salad was good and the pasta was warm tasty. And now it is in my fridge because I couldn’t eat it all. The chocolate cake looks so yummy, but it too is in my fridge because it is begging to be eaten for breakfast.

Everyone had left overs that were wrapped up and are now in my fridge. Fuller had a pizza that he enjoyed, my husband had the lobster ravioli, and my mom sampled the Mama’s Trio (Lasagna, Chicken Cannelloni and Chicken Parmesan).

Our experience was really good and I definitely recommend the Macaroni Grill for a Chattanooga dining experience.

Hmmm…. yummy. I love Italian food. I was forced to cook those on my own when I was in Melbourne because the ones that were available in the restaurants were not halal for Muslim. I will feature my homemade lasagna and spaghetti bolognese in Kuala Lumpur is Home one day … do come over and enjoy the virtual meal together with me. :)

  2. Watch Out for that Chinese Food | Know A New Freedom Says:

[...] Today when I order Chinese, I get steamed veggies and meat with brown rice on the side. Some places actually make a spicy brown sauce with no MSG, flour, or sugar, so I can request that occasionally. However, it’s safest to just order it plain and bring my own spices. Just one more reason why I’d rather eat at home than ordering out any where. It’s more nutritionally sound, tastes better, and costs a lot less. [...]
