Where I will be: The Mountain Opry, Friday night
My mother is visiting this week. She is watching my two year old while my husband and I navigate a changing of the guard- Damon is going back to work and I am in my last week at my job.
As a thank you to my mom I am going to take her to The Mountain Opry this Friday night. I am not sure exactly what to expect, but I know that there will be bluegrass music and we enjoy bluegrass. Since we have this venue so close to our city, I thought it would be fun.
Have you been there? What should I expect?

we just went a couple weeks ago. packed as usual. the old guys who start things off have clearly been there forever. imho, they’re past their prime, but still usually entertaining if you like things kept simple and, um, casual. then around 9 the out-of-town band started up, and they were pretty good. sometimes the folks in that slot arent so great, but these guys were entertaining and played quite well. of course the cloggers and other folks who are also part of the whole cultural experience make it all the better. enjoy!
