Remembering a Solider: TFP video, prayers for my dad

The Chattanooga Times Free Press website has a video piece about the funeral of Sgt. John Michael Sullivan who was buried yesterday at the National Cemetery.

I read the lead article in today’s paper and learned about the sacrifice that Sgt. Sullivan made for his country and it brought tears to my eyes. I saw the pictures of his wife hugging their son and my heart hurt.

My father is a chaplain in the Air Force and he leaves for Afghanistan on Thursday. He spent six months in Iraq in 2005. My prayers are with my dad as he serves and the Sullivan family as they mourn.
