A gift to Chattanooga: Two days free admission at the Creative Discovery Museum
One of my favorite places to visit in Chattanooga is the Creative Discovery Museum. It is a place that focuses on educational fun and interactive play for children ages 4 months to 12 years old. There are exhibits where kids can dig for dinosaur bones, play with an oversized guitar, learn about the river by playing in the water or climbing a riverboat structure. It is a museum filled with color, sounds, and activity to keep kids interested the entire time they are there. Last year we went there for a Christmas party and Fuller, who was 14 months at the time, spent a majority of his time in the Little Yellow House, opening and closing the gate.
And as much fun as the museum is everyday, the fine folks at the Creative Discovery Museum are giving a gift to our community. Today and tomorrow (Wednesday, December 20 and Thursday, December 21) Creative Discovery Museum admission is free!
Normally the cost of admission is $7.95 for adults and $6.95 for children ages 2-12 (under 2, free). To have the museum open for two days, free of charge, is a real treat. The museum is open from 10 am - 5 pm both days, so there is plenty of time to learn about inventors, how electricity works, and make a print in the artist’s workshop.
Have fun and learn something too!
P.S. Parents, there are plenty of places for you to sit down while your little ones wear themselves out.
