Chattanooga Is Home

There are times when life gets in the way and you can get a kind of selfish tunnel vision that keeps you from knowing what else is happening in the world. If I had checked the paper or The Chattanoogan street closings, I would have known there was a parade today.

I am bummed that I missed the fun at Finley Stadium this evening and it leaves me wondering if maybe the city hasn’t really done its part to get the word out. Of course the fine folks who organized this event should be really pleased that the game is sold out and that there will be plenty of people at the First Tennessee Pavilion tomorrow at noon to buy standing room only tickets. (Tickets are $20 each.)

I still don’t know if I will be at the game tomorrow night. I got two free tickets from work that I gave to my husband and a friend. Then today I got another ticket that we are offering to another friend. If he doesn’t want that ticket we might scramble to get a babysitter and then I can go. (Do you want to babysit?)
I do plan on going to the pre-game fun at the Pavillion. I can’t seem to find any information right now, but I will do some digging tomorrow. I know the past two years have seen a chili cook off, pep rallies, and just a bunch of fun. And you know what? I am up for some fun.
