Chattanooga Is Home

With the release of the last Harry Potter book in the seven book series, Chattanooga book stores are gearing up for some Harry Potter parties. Here is a run down of some locations where the muggles can party and get Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows right at 12:01 a.m:

The party starts at 10 pm and will include a costume contest, muggle snacks, wand making, trivia contests, owl experts, and other magical surprises. They still have vouchers available for pre-purchase of the book, but can’t guarantee that vouchers will be there when the party starts.

Go to B&N at 8 p.m. to participate in their muggle fun. They will be having a costume contest, so you will need to show your best Hogwarts colors to win.

All three Books-A-Million stores will be hosting their own Harry Mania parties, starting at 9 pm. And as seems to be the tradition, a costume party will be part of the fun. Prizes to be given away as well. You will need to purchase a voucher to pick up the book at 12:01 a.m. since they will only be taking book vouchers when the momentous occasion arrives.

The fun folks at Wild Hare will be hosting a party starting around 11:30 p.m. They will also have a costume party for those in attendance. The bad news is that unless you pre-orderd the book to pick up at 12:01 a.m. , no new copies will be available until Tuesday.
