Rock Point Books to host announcement of Jefferson Press Fiction Prize
This Friday Rock Point Books has the honor of hosting a reception and announcement of the winner of the Jefferson Press Fiction Prize.
Jefferson Press was founded in 2002 in Oxford, Mississippi, by author and publisher David Magee. The offices have been relocated to Lookout Mountain, Tennessee. Jefferson Press has a dedication to finding new and talented voices, voices that reflect the literary spirit of William Faulkner’s home town and the launching pad of many other outstanding writers.
On Friday, June 21st at 6PM a reception followed by the Jefferson Press Fiction Prize for the Best New Voice in Fiction Award Ceremony, will be held at Rock Point Books. Hundreds of manuscripts have been reviewed for the contest, and the winner will receive a $5,000 cash prize. Official judges of the contest include William Gay, Tom Franklin, and Wyatt Prunty, who will all be present at the ceremony.
