Take your little wild things to a party at Rock Point Books, June 9

Sunday is the birthday of Maurice Sendak, the author and illustrator of Where the Wild Things Are. In celebration of Mr. Sendak’s birthday (he will be 79), Rock Point Books is inviting you and your children to a birthday party.

The event begins at 11 am on Saturday, June 9th. Children will get to hear the book Where the Wild Things Are read aloud and get free juice and cookies. They will get a coloring page and activity sheet to take home.

    OMG! I thought he was going to be at the party when I first read this. This is so cool! Why doesn’t Borders do stuff like this? I think I’ll send them this link! :) I loved this book when I was growing up!
