Clothesline Art Show May 18th and 19th
Tonight our family will be curling up in front of the DVD player, chilling out after a very busy week. But next weekend, I am making room in my schedule to head down to Laura Pettit’s home for a viewing of the Clothesline Show.
The Clothesline Show is a showcase of artwork from ten women in the Chattanooga area. Several of the artists are women that I know in some capacity, from blogging to church family members.
Mark your calendars for next Friday, May 18th from 11 am to 7 pm, and Saturday, May 19th from 11 am to 4 pm, at 113 Ochs Highway.
One of the featured artists is Katie Ward Knutson, whose pods I have admired from afar for quite some time. Every time she displays one, I think, “I like it, but she hasn’t painted mine yet.”
My sister has three of Katie’s pods hanging in her apartment and I like them all. Someday, I know one of Katie’s pods will be at my house.
The Clothesline has a blog that is featuring information about each artist and a sample of their work. It is intriguing to read and really gets me excited about what I will get to see.
Mark your calendars for next Friday, May 18th from 11 am to 7 pm, and Saturday, May 19th from 11 am to 4 pm, at 113 Ochs Highway. Get a taste of what some Chattanooga women artists have to offer.
