George Clooney choo-choo chooses Chattanooga and the railroad museum for Leatherheads
I was just watching the late nightly news on WRCB and apparently George Clooney was at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum all day yesterday, working on the film Leatherheads. It must have been kept very quiet because it is just being reported today. WRCB did interview an employee of the TVRA, so at least we have an eyewitness to the celebrity event.
However, this is a great segue to mention that this weekend is Opening Day for the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum.
This year, vintage trains will depart from Grand Junction Station seven days a week beginning with the “Missionary Ridge Local,” a favorite for groups and children.
Ticket prices are as follows:
Adults: $13.50
Children (age 3-12): $7.00
No charge for children under age 3.
Tickets are purchased as walk-up only on the day of the trip. The boarding location is Grand Junction Station. Directions are on their website.

I was an extra for the “Leatherheads” filming in at the railroad museum filming with clooney. Amazing there has been so little press about the event. Certainly was bigger than what gets attention normally in this town.

@Lisa, guess I live under a rock, I had no idea about the upcoming visit!
@Jim, congratulations! That would have been a neat thing to be a part of.
